In an effort to calm my Indy 500 mind, I am writing a letter to God every morning. I keep asking Him to speak to me and give me direction. This morning He told me my mind is so busy, there’s static on the line.
God:”Can you hear Me now?”
Me: “God, please let me know how I can honor You. Send something or someone my way so I can help them, in Your name.”
God: “Anne, can you hear Me now?” At this point I am wondering if I should paint my walls a calming blue. Did I order itch medicine for my dog? Company is coming. I have tons to do.
God: “Can you hear me now? Hello! Anne, are you there?”
Me: “Why isn’t God telling me I should do?” Oh and I have to get a gluten free list of food. Did I add detergent to my list? I have so much writing to catch up on. Did I buy grout cleaner?
God: in a louder voice now: “Anne, calm that mind of yours. The static is too loud. We have a bad connection.”
Me: Well, I guess God is busy this morning. After all it is daylight savings time and He’s probably exhausted.
Me:”God, can You call me later? I really need to hear from you.”
God: “This girl is lucky I love her.”
Me: “Well, I love you, God. Please call me.”
